During his tenure with the GSS, Dr. Bednarzyk has conducted and performed in over 50 concerts of all genres, including Classical, Pops, Children’s and Chamber Music concerts.  In addition, he has implemented Pre-Concert Talks, created the Guam Symphony Chamber Players, and increased the size and scope of the GSS Young Artists Competition.   Dr. Bednarzyk also frequently appears on various radio talk shows and speaks at several functions during the season to promote both the GSS and classical music on Guam.

In the spring of 2003, Dr. Bednarzyk was granted status as an Assistant Professor of Music at the University of Guam.   He is currently in the process of recruiting and creating the UOG Concert Band.  His other responsibilities at UOG include teaching instrumental conducting, music theory and sight singing, and serving as an accompanist for many of the students.
